Advocate for Mental Health
as a Intelligent Mental Health Survivor
The ever-increasing amount of stress that is put on our society has now skyrocketed. From the ever-increasing cost of living, the juggling of childcare, the ever challenging work and life balance. Working more than just enjoying free time that establishes healthy relationships. Friends that come and go and these days they seem to go more than come. Whom to trust and whom not to trust. Unaffordability, not letting you go out the door because of a lack of funds or a very strict budget. Marriages hanging on by a thread due to financial woes. The lack of not being intimate any longer and then just becoming roommates. Parents constantly worrying about their children's safety, who really are their friends and how they really are in school. Plus many more scenarios that affect many people along with the possibility of a sudden negative sharp traumatic event that in turn completely overwhelms you. The combined amount of stress can eventually bring on a mental break down that can lead to clinical depression or even a more serious deeper psychological disorder. This can be especially quite traumatic for first-timers. People who have never experience sharp trauma in their life before. Prevention and corrected well being is most important. Please seek out help and not be embarrassed about close friends or your family for support. Be bold and make them aware you can stand up against any stigma. Your positive attitude is everything. Most importantly, seek out a health care professional that you know will help you. Make sure you have a strong likeable connection. Only a good positive relationship will be helpful if not, look for another counsellor or clinical psychologist/psychiatrist. Find even someone whom you trust and feel comfortable with that can console you and help ease your pain.
